Every week you wait, your child builds a bigger story about why they can't read. The school said wait and see. You waited. You saw. And now another summer is here and your child is still behind — not because they aren't smart, but because no one has ever taught them the right way.
The cost of doing nothing isn't zero. It's a teenager who stopped trying. A college student who relies on AI to write papers. An adult who avoids reading menus in restaurants. A lifetime of shrinking to fit the size of a label someone put on them in second grade.
The good news — real lasting help is here. And this summer it is actually going to be fun.
Stop The Summer Slide is an intensive 12-week structured literacy program led by Linda Colasanti — a certified Orton-Gillingham Practitioner, Dyslexia Specialist, certified NLP Coach, AI Consultant, and one of the legislative architects of North Carolina's first dyslexia law. She is the only structured literacy specialist who builds her own AI-powered interactive practice tools, making every lesson truly multisensory and designed to stick from the very first repetition.
By August 15th your child will have the seven essential phonemic awareness skills locked in. They will know the difference between noisy and quiet sounds in the English language. They will finger spell sounds and tap syllables to spell accurately what they hear. They will decode multi-syllabic words using four syllable types and the core spelling rules that make the English language make sense.
These are not grade level skills. These are lifetime skills. The same foundation your child builds this summer is what they will use to decode a nine syllable scientific word in eighth grade. We are not teaching to a grade. We are building a reader for life.
Enrollment closes May 27th. Program runs June 2 through August 15, 2026.
